Military College Grant
The military serve and protect the Unites States of America with their lives. Some military personnel would like to continue their education but are financially unable to. In order to honor them for their service and bravery, the military offer grants for college or university to military personnel and their families, to help them achieve the higher education they deserve. The Spouse Education Assistance Program provides a military college grant of three hundred and fifty dollars per academic term to army personnel spouses. The Spouse Tuition Aid Program for Navy personnel spouses provides funding and grants for either part time or full time studies. Students receive up to seventeen hundred and fifty dollars per year for graduate studies and up to fifteen hundred dollars annually for undergraduates. The General Henry H. Arnold Education Grant Program offers benefits and grants to individuals in the Air Force and their families. The spouses and children of active or deceased military personnel qualify for grants of approximately two thousand dollars. They base this amount on tuition costs and the family's financial needs to help determine the amount of the grant.
The Coast Guard and Marines configure their grant and scholarship programs differently. If they admit a marine into the Medical Enlisted Commissioning Program, Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program, or Enlisted Commissioning Program, they are eligible for a two thousand dollar grant annually during active duty. The Coast Guard Mutual Assistance program offers a grant of one hundred and fifty dollars annually to the enlisted individual or any family members to help pay their college expenses such as tests, housing, supplies, and the cost of books but not toward tuition.
Other military college grants include the Alabama National Guard Education Assistance Program. Alabama national guard members can receive grants of from five hundred dollars to one thousand dollars annually to attend a public college or university. Not based on need, students must be with a federally recognized unit and active members.
Every year the 'United States Bacak Academy Class of 1963 Foundation Grant' awards gifts of from one thousand to four thousand dollars to veterans of Naval Academy Class of 1963 dependents that are graduate students or undergraduate students. The Illinois National Guard Grant Program awards from thirteen hundred to seventeen hundred dollars to two to three thousand Illinois National Guard members annually. This grant helps graduate or undergraduate students pay for certain fees and eligible tuition for a two or four year course at Illinois public colleges. The IVG or Illinois Veteran Grant program awards grants of from fourteen hundred to sixteen hundred dollars annually to between eleven thousand and thirteen thousand veteran graduate students and undergraduate students attending college in Illinois. This program pays allowable fees and eligible tuition for qualified applicants at any certified Illinois community college or public college.
