Master of Management from University of Phoenix Online

The Master of Management (MM) program is geared towards enhancing the management skills that are necessary to function effectively within an organization. Students are focused on leadership and management, which are the human side of an organization. In this program, emerging management theory, techniques, and practices are stressed. Students are also given feedback and information on key competencies from senior business executives, curriculum-design experts, as well as university academic professionals. Management skills in the areas of defining business problems, assessing information, considering alternatives, and choosing the best solutions are developed through instruction in this program. Graduates attain the skills that are necessary to have when evaluating and management the challenges facing contemporary organizations effectively. There are 39 credit hours in the MM program. 30 credit hours are found in the core curriculum and the other 9 are required in order to complete the MM program. There is a final trio of courses, which allows students to customize the degree program in a given specialization by focusing on current problems and developments that are related to that specialization. Students who do not desire to have a specialization must still complete three additional courses. The final three courses serve to prepare students for executive leadership and decision-making rules in the area of general management.
