Master of Management - International from University of Phoenix Online

The Master of Management International (MM-I) program is geared towards enhancing the international management skills that are necessary to function effectively within an organization. In this program, emerging global management theory, techniques, and practices are stressed. Students are also given feedback and information on key competencies from senior global business executives, curriculum-design experts, as well as university academic professionals. Management skills in the areas of defining business problems, assessing information, considering alternatives, and choosing the best solutions are developed through instruction in this program. Graduates attain the skills that are necessary to have when evaluating and management the challenges facing contemporary organizations effectively. The courses in the 30-credit-hour MM-I program have been broken up into trios. The first trio of courses focuses on how organizations can succeed by recognizing cultural diversity and the challenges of communication and management. The third and final trio aims to prepare students for the decision-making role via the introduction of problems or issues in each course. Some of the business problems facing the global market that are addressed throughout the program include, but are not limited to, the following: developing and sustaining competitive advantage within the global framework; adapting vision and strategy to the changing nature of the international environment; recognizing and minimizing the costs and risks posed by multinational operations; recognizing and capitalizing on opportunities in national markets for goods and services. Some of the program courses are Managerial Communication and Ethics, Cross-Cultural Considerations for International Managers, International Organizational Behavior, International Human Resources Management, International Law and Politics, and Supply Chain Management Problem Solving.
