Master of Public Administration Degree from Marist College from Marist College

There are actually two specializations within the Master of Public Administration degree from Marist College. One is in public management and administration and the other is in administration and management in non-profit organizations and agencies. Students can select to focus on one specialization or may complete a general type of program with classes that cover both. Within either specialization students will study the historic, current and future trends in public administration and management.

The courses are designed to allow graduate to work as mid level managers within the area of public administration. This includes having a good understanding and knowledge of public budget and financial management, effective decision making, ethics and legal issues in civic management and administration as well as communication, leadership and human resource management.
