Master of Science in Nursing/Integrative Health from University of Phoenix Online
The Master of Science in Nursing/Integrative Health program, which is accredited by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of the registered nurse (RN) who has a baccalaureate-degree preparation. The program aims to prepare advanced practice nurses to function in leadership roles in both practice and educational settings. Advanced nursing theory and research lay the groundwork for nurses to influence the future of nursing and health care. The course series has a focus on integrative health care, which is a synthesis or blend of conventional care with alternative and complementary healing therapies. Persons who have little or some knowledge in the area are able to learn more about both the background and current status of integrative care, as well as health policy, legal, regulatory, and ethical issues. Having an overview of commonly used alternative and complementary healing therapies in the program gives persons a strong foundation for continued learning. Participants in this program are required to develop a proposal for an integrative health care project or course, which is based on their current or future work setting. This credit-bearing specialization is also available as a certificate program for students who are post-baccalaureate.Master of Science in Nursing/Integrative Health at a Glance
