BS in Economic Crime Investigation from Utica College

The Bachelor of Science Crime Investigation degree program from Utica College combines computer and accounting science and a criminal justice study to provide students with knowledge of the growing problems of computer crime and business fraud.  Students in the economic crime investigation program acquire various skills, techniques and strategies used to identify, track and trace crimes in varied companies, organizations, businesses and government agencies.  Students address practical investigative techniques, ethical and legal issues, corporate procedures and polices and accounting principles in the crime investigation program.

Students that complete the Bachelor or Science in economic crime investigation program have a strong foundation and the skills necessary to deal with white-collar crimes.  This usually involves criminal activity within stock or trading markets, fraudulent appropriation of funds, property or money, and the sharing of secret or confidential information but this does exclude violent activities.
