The online school of Cornell University is known as eCornell and is designed to be an effective way for students to obtain their education from a highly ranked Ivy League institution. Since 1992, over 110,000 people have obtained education and advanced their careers through eCornell.
There is a flexible course calendar, with courses usually running two to four weeks. Increased flexibility allows students to maintain their other responsibilities (such as work, or parenting), while obtaining an education. The education offered to students is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Persons who may have financial limitations can seek financial aid through many different organizations such as SLM (a Sallie Mae company) Financial.
Instructors are very knowledgeable and accessible to students. The online courses create an environment in which setting one’s own pace is greatly encouraged.
