Keiser University has several different options for students to complete degree programs either on campus, online or with a combination of the two. Keiser University first started classes in 1977 as Keiser College and is fully accredited through the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, as well as several other accreditations through particular programs such as nursing, medical assistant, radiology, occupational therapy, and culinary arts. Currently Keiser University offers programs at the Associate, Bachelor and Master level at both the traditional campus locations as well as online through eCampus learning. Degrees are identical, regardless of the mode that students use to complete the degree requirements.
Through Keiser University students can complete individual courses or full degree programs within many topic areas such as business, education, biotechnology, criminal justice, computers and technology, legal studies and culinary arts. Class sizes, both online and on campus programs, are kept small to allow for lots of opportunities to interact with instructors. ECampus learning includes options for group projects, email question and feedback with instructors, teleconferences and online chat platforms that encourage the social aspects of a traditional classroom interaction between students and the faculty. The faculty are all well known professionals in their field that have both high levels of education and knowledge in the subject matter as well as practical, real world experience. This combination means that assignments and class discussions will be reflective of trends within the various fields and are applicable to exactly what graduates will be facing when they enter the workplace.
Keiser University offers online classes on a one at a time basis, which allows students to focus in on one particular subject area at a time. Since most online students are also working professionals or have very hectic schedules, this highly focused learning experience means that there are less distractions in determining what needs to be understood when courses are completed one at a time. In addition students don't have to worry about multiple class assignments or test all happening at the same time, scheduling will be less complicated and more streamlined for optimal learning. In addition working with only one instructor at a time means that students and faculty have more opportunities to interact and discuss issues related specifically to one class.
As a career oriented university, Keiser University has advisory boards that work with community leaders and professionals within the industry to ensure that the degrees and programs offered are preparing students for the latest issues within each professional field. This ongoing dialogue between employers, researchers and professionals within each field allows Keiser University to constantly upgrade their courses to use the latest in industry trends and technology in each area.
Student taking either online or on campus courses through Keiser University may be eligible for student loans and grants, depending on their application information. The university offers financial advisors and counselors to work with students to select just the right program as well as help with financial planning and application procedures.
